Lived Experience 217 Heads - A Melody of Time

Gino paints head studies to create a living memory of the individually lived experience. Gino sees this time stretched multiple project as a document of the human face, its infinite variety, encapsulating many aspects of the human condition and the lived experience. Represented as a melody of time and history.

It is also an historical document, representing a section of people Gino invited to come and sit for him. They are not commissions but a collaborative diary, the evolving multiple has been shown in different exhibitions. As Gino paints another head the multiple changes, redefined by the addition of another life. Sometimes a head is shown in isolation allowing the individual to exist in a separate space. A note: escaping from the evolving melody, existing in a different time and space.
