Identity
My Mother
We originate from a union filled with all sorts of emotions. But the mothers strength to endure, support, protect and raise a child comes from within and without. Experience and environmental conditions "who we are" and "who we become" is only part of the story. A story which goes as far back as our consciousness has been framed guiding us in the here and now continuing into the future.
"Well, son, I’ll tell you:
Life for me ain’t been no crystal stair.
It’s had tacks in it,
And splinters"
Langston Hughes
"So we are grasped by what we cannot grasp"
"but what we feel is the wind in our faces."
Rainer Maria Rilke
