Figure Drawing

Gino is a constant advocate for drawing the human figure because this is where he sees the truth of the human condition witnessed. He also believes it is the beginning of everything in art without which there is nothing that has intelligently evolved. Visual expression preceded the written language by many thousand years and Gino views it as a more sophisticated and universal communication tool .  Being able to express in a tangible object what is imagined or to conceptualise an idea or guide the creative process is a major function of both the visual and the intellect. Indeed drawing has been an expression of Gino's output since he can remember.
